Ethical Work and Life Coaching
In order to serve others and reduce suffering in the world, I am exploring ways to apply my expertise in educational and moral psychology, as well as my Quaker spirituality, to support and coach adults seeking more meaningful and ethical lives. I’m especially interested in helping university students, career changers, and parents explore their moral motivations and develop their moral identities.
This can involve helping people:
- clarify their beliefs and values
- interpret their life stories with respect to those beliefs and values
- translate their beliefs and values into actionable virtues
- practice and model those virtues
- find meaningful educational and work experiences by which those virtues can be practiced
Given my particular Quaker values, I am particularly interested in helping students and career changers who seek meaningful work in more egalitarian and democratic workplaces, such as certain non-profits and worker cooperatives. Given that I identify as neurodiverse, and have neurodiverse family members, I may also be especially helpful to neurodiverse individuals who struggle to find meaningful and ethical work.
While I hope my coaching would ultimately improve the physical and mental well-being of others, I am not a health professional and do not intend for any of my future work to treat any physical or mental health disorders. Such medical support is often important, complementary, and necessary, but it is not my calling or expertise.
To help me develop experience as a coach, I am organizing some free coaching sessions. If this interests you, please contact me via LinkedIn.
